Episode 100 - Demolition Man

Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon dove into musicals this week and watched the first in a series for Blank Check, Sweet Charity (Prime/Youtube), a Bob Fosse musical starring Shirley MacLain that she really enjoyed. Out and about, The Dragon saw the new movie Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (Theatres), which she felt was a funny, sweet movie and highly recommends.

 

Berto on the Bed: Berto rewatched The Quick and The Dead (Netflix), the Sam Raimi western that he said is still great. He also watched Transporter 2 (HBO), which he felt can still be described as what if a Van Dam movie was good? Being a man's man, Berto watched Mean Girls (Netflix) and felt that it is still a great movie. On the suggestion of the Dragon, he watched Mad God (Shudder), which he watched all the way through to the shock of the Dragon, and which he found boring but really appreciated the artistry that went into it. Back in man's man corner, he watched Last Night in Soho (HBO) and felt it was okay, but didn't really like or get the ending. Finally, in Joe Bob Corner, Berto watched Troma's War (Shudder), a crazy movie made better with Joe Bob's fun facts and interview with the director, and Chopping Mall (Shudder), a classic almost sci-fi slasher he thought was fun.

 

Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive was the 1993 sci-fi action classic Demolition Man, currently streaming on Hulu.
