Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon watched The Devils (Shudder) a 1970’s horror film. She thought it was really good and would recommend it. She is watching the latest season of What We Do In The Shadows (Hulu). She loves the show and thinks it is fun and sweet. Next, she is watching The Bear (Hulu), a drama about a chef. She really enjoyed it and felt it was well done. She also is watching the latest season of The Orville (Hulu), a star-trek-like sci-fi sitcom. She likes it and feels it has a lot of fun with the material. Finally, the Dragon and Berto saw Nope (Theater), the latest Jordan Peele film. They both enjoyed it and felt it was a good movie, but they were both expecting more.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Thor: Ragnarok (Disney+), he felt it was really good with a great mix of comedy, drama and action. Next Berto watched Shaun of The Dead (Prime), he thinks it's great and still holds up despite being almost 20 years old. Next he watched Umma (Netflix), a horror film starring Sandra Oh. He hated it and thought it was terrible and made no sense. Berto watched Dr. No (Prime), the first Bond film. He was surprised at how many bond tropes are still around from the first film and found it enjoyable. Next, Berto watched The Mortuary Collection (Shudder), a horror anthology. He thought it was good and enjoyed certain stories. He watched Tetsuo: The Iron Man (Shudder), a cult Japanese film. He thought it was horrible, had crazy imagery and made no sense. Finally, Berto recommends people listen to a 4 part series on Matt & Shane’s Secret Podcast about the presidents. The podcast with guest Louie CK, goes through every US president and tells great historical facts and stories about them all.
This week’s deep dive is the 2022 action film The Gray Man, currently streaming on Netflix.
