Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Dear Evan Hansen (HBO), a musical about a high school kid who lies about befriending a suicide victim. Her and Berto talked about how insanely crazy the story is and how bad the film was. Next, she watched Tank Girl (Rent), which she felt she would have loved as a teenager, but as an adult she couldn’t enjoy it. She also watched Nightmare Beach (Kanopy), which she found to be a fun 80’s slasher film. In so arty it's bad corner, The Dragon watched Vinyl (nowhere), a 1965 film made by Andy Warhol. She can’t express how bad and boring this film was. Finally, she watched The Hidden (rent), and found it to be a fun 1980’s sci fi thriller.
Berto on the Bed: Berto started the week by watching 13 Lives (Prime), a drama based on the Tham Luang Cave rescue. He found it extremely compelling and loved the film. He then watched The Rescue (Disney+), a documentary which the film was based on. Again he found it to be an amazing story. Next, he watched Music From Another Room (Prime), a 90’s rom com. He thought the movie was interesting, but insane. He also watched American Fright Fest (Prime), a slasher horror which he felt was not good, with very bad acting. Next for Joe Bob Corner, Berto watched Mothers Day (Shudder). He thought it was interesting but not a good movie. Finally, Berto watched I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House (Netflix). Berto could not express how slow nor how boring this movie was, he absolutely hated it.
Dragon at the Movies: In this week’s deep dive is the 2022 action film Prey, currently streaming on Hulu.
