Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon starts bragging about going to the Connecticut Horror Fest, which she enjoyed and saw some fun celebrities. She next saw Look At Me: XXXtentacion (Hulu), a documentary about a rapper. She enjoyed the documentary despite it being about a shitty person. Finally, the Dragon watched Three Thousand Years of Longing (Theatres), George Miller's newest film. She generally liked it, but the third act didn't really work for her.
Berto on the Bed: Berto started this week watching Before I Wake (Netflix), a Mike Flanagan horror film. He found it heartfelt and enjoyed it. Berto next watched Orphan (Discovery+) and Orphan: First Kill (Discovery+). He found both to be fun horror films, with great twists. Next, he watched Incantation (Netflix), a Taiwanese found footage horror movie. He thought it was ok, but not deserving of its fame on the internet. Next, Berto watched Assassins (HBO), a 90’s action film he thought was good. Next, Berto watched Annabelle (HBO), a horror film about a possessed doll. He thought it was lackluster and not very good. Next, he watched The Haunting in Connecticut (HBO), a film about a haunted house. He thought it was fine, but the ending left him wanting more. He watched An American Haunting (HBO), a film about the Bell Witch. He thought it was bad and rather boring. Next, he watched Open Windows (Tubi), he thought it would have been good, but had way too many plot twists. Finally, in Joe Bob corner, Berto watched 2 films: Maniac Cop 2 (shudder), which he thought was fun and Sledge Hammer (Shudder), which he absolutely hated.
Dragon at the Movies: This week’s deep dive is the 2013 drama Locke, currently streaming on HBO.
