Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Thriller: A Cruel Picture (Buy a Blu-ray), a rape revenge film which she thought was a lot of fun. Next she watched Out There Halloween Mega Tape (Theatre), she liked it and how well it did at bringing a 90’s atmosphere. Next, she watched the 2009 Avatar (Rent/Theatres). She thought the film is long and the story and dialogue are generic, but visually on the big screen it is astounding. Finally, she watched Popcorn (Shudder), an early 90’s slasher which she thought was fun.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Blonde (Netflix), he thought it was way too long but was an ok artistic film. Next, he watched Pineapple Express (Netflix), he loved it and thought it was still hilarious. Berto then watched This Is The End (Netflix), and thought it was great and a fun watch. Next, he watched Facing Nolan (Netflix), and thought it was a good documentary for people who enjoy baseball. Berto watched The Haunted Mansion (Disney+). He thought it was a perfectly fine film for kids, but was very rote and basic for adults. Next he watched An American Werewolf In Paris (Tubi), he thought it was an embarrassing sequel that was really bad. Next, Berto watched Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman's The Fantastic Four (Tubi), an ok documentary about the 90’s superhero film that was never released. Berto watched The Atoning (Prime), a slow, bad, cheap horror film with a very predictable twist. Finally, Berto watched Tonight She Comes (Tubi), a cheap bad horror film that was way too long.
Dragon at the Movies: This week’s deep dive is the 2015 horror film The Witch, currently streaming on HBO Max.
