Dragon on the Couch: This week the Dragon stayed in her TV corner and finished Squid Game (Netflix), which she overall liked but felt was a little too long and did not end well. She also finished the third season of the show What We Do In The Shadows (Hulu), which is based on the movie of the same name (Fubo), that she absolutely loved and highly recommends. Along those lines, The Dragon highly recommends everyone watch Wellington Paranormal (HBO), a New Zealand spoof on ghost hunting shows that she also LOVES. Lastly, the Dragon interrupted Berto on the Bed to mention the show Pen15 (Hulu).
Berto on the Bed: Berto had a very busy week. He saw The Matrix Revolutions (HBO) in preparation for the coming sequel and said it was utterly bad, and makes him worry about the fourth film. He also saw Venom: Let There Be Carnage (Theaters) which he thought was bad, but had some funny moments and was at least different from other superhero movies. He watched Incident In a Ghost Land (Netflix), a film he thought was ok overall, but has a very good twist in it. Next, he watched Leatherface (Tubi), a prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Fubo) that he thought was really bad. He saw Intouchables (Netflix) a French BOATS (Based On A True Story) film about a down and out man becoming the assistant of a quadriplegic man, he loved it and felt it was very uplifting. Berto continues his new segment Flicks For Chicks and watched Love Hard (Netflix), a new Netflix Christmas rom-com that he utterly hated and, frankly, made him angry. Next, he watched a few Christmas love movies: Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star (Netflix) which he enjoyed because he felt it was just Vanessa Hudgens having a good time. And finally he watched Rodeo & Juliet (Prime), which has a typical Hallmark film plot with zero money that he thought was not that good.
Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive was the 1999 dark comedy Election, currently streaming on Hulu.
