Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon visited Marvel corner this week and watched Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk (Peacock, Starz) and thought it was terrible, a throw back to before super hero movies could be good. She also saw the Venom: Let There Be Carnage (Rent), and felt that the movie was just ok, but it did entertain her.
Berto on the Bed: Berto ventured out to the theatre and saw the Spider Man: No Way Home (theatres) and loved it. He then ventured into Christmas corner and started with the horror section with the original 1974 Black Christmas (Tubi), which he enjoyed, and interesting to watch as one of the first slashers. Next, he watched Jingle All The Way (Prime) a Schwarzenegger family comedy which was bad, but not as terrible as he thought it would be and had some enjoyable moments. In Berto’s new segment, Flix for Chix, he watched Christmas Inheritance (Netflix) which he thought was fine, and hit all the tropes he enjoys from these films. Lastly, Berto watched Christmas Wedding Planner (Netflix), which he also thought was good for its genre, until the ending threw a curve that he found very odd.
Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive is the 1999 Stanley Kubrick adult thriller Eyes Wide Shut, currently streaming on HBO.
