Episode 94 - Con Air

Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon watched the second Sam Raimi Spiderman movie Spider-Man 2 (Peacock), which she recognizes other people love but it is not her favorite iteration of the character. She then watched Chip N Dale: Rescue Rangers (Disney+), the 2022 animated/live action mixed kids movie that she highly recommends, especially for millennials. The Dragon then did a double feature of Hot Shots! (Rent), the 90s Top Gun spoof movie she thought was fun and the new Top Gun: Maverick (Theaters) film, which she really enjoyed as a giant action movie. 

Berto on the Bed: Berto also saw Top Gun: Maverick (Theaters) and agrees that he really enjoyed it as a great action film. He then saw Men (Theaters), and liked the beginning but was disappointed with the lack of narrative. Berto watched Nightbooks (Netflix), which is a children's horror movie he really liked. In his Shudder corner, Berto watched In Search of Darkness 2 (Shudder), the second part of the 4+ hour documentary on 80s horror that he enjoyed but felt the first had better material. Berto also watched Tank Girl (Prime), which he felt is a manic movie that is enjoyable to watch and recommended the Dragon watch it. Finally on Joe Bob, Berto watched Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 (Shudder), which he thought was a fun 80s slasher that wasn't overly memorable.

 

Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive was the 1997 Nic Cage action film Con Air, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
