Episode107 - Hot Fuzz

Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon had an outdoor weekend so she only watched the first few episodes of season 3 of the animated Harley Quinn series (HBO), which she highly recommends; and the only movie directed by Stephen King, Maximum Overdrive (Rent), which is a really great movie if you like the idea of cocaine directing something.

 

Berto on the Bed: Berto watched The Sandman (Netflix), which he did not care for and felt was poorly acted, which is a shame for such good source material and the budget the show had. He then watched King Solomon's Mines (Tubi), which Indiana Jones was modeled after but which was not great. In Berto's history corer, he listened to a book called Indianapolis (Audible), a heavy read about the famous naval disaster where the ship of the same name sank. He highly recommends. In Berto's comedy corner, he watched Bo Burnham Inside (Netflix), a one-man comedy special created at the height of the pandemic that Berto really loved. Lastly, in Joe Bob corner, Berto watched Dead & Buried (Shudder), a quirky horror movie that he recommends as a great Joe Bob movie to watch and discuss.

 

Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive is the 2007 Edgar Wright action movie spoof Hot Fuzz, currently for rent (our bad!).
