Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Der Fan (Unavailable), a German teenage horror film. She enjoyed it and thought it was fun. Next, she watched Petite Maman (Hulu), a sweet French movie that she thought was nice to watch. Next, she watched A Life Less Ordinary (Rent), she thought it was really bad and very 90’s in the worst ways. Finally, she saw Creed III (Theatres), which she thought was fun and was happy to see the thiCCC shirtless men working out.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Ben-Hur (HBO), he felt it lived up to all the praise that had been heaped upon it over the years and thought it was amazing. Next, he watched Walking Tall (Prime), the 2004 remake starring The Rock. He thought it was a decent film, but was fun to watch. Next, he watched Paycheck (Prime), a film with a great premise that was ruined with everything else - acting, action, script, etc. Next, he watched Limitless (HBO), he thought it was a good and interesting film. Then he watched RockNRolla (HBO), a Guy Ritchie film in his usual style. He enjoyed it but thought it wasn’t as good as his other films. Next, he watched Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (Hulu), he thought it was funny and was a good time. Finally, for Joe Bob corner, Berto watched Black Rose (Shudder). He thought it was really boring and forgettable.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Infinity Pool (Theatres), she really enjoyed the film, but understands why some won’t like it. She also thought Mia Goth was amazing in it. Next, she watched Magic Mike's Last Dance (Theatres), she found it to have fun dancing scenes, but to be boring any other time. Lastly, she watched Nekromantik (Shudder). She thought it was a fun premise, but can understand why so many people would have a hard time with it, as its content can be appalling to some.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Lawrence Of Arabia (HBO), he said it was very long, but loved it and wished he could see it in a theater to see the grandness of it. Next, he watched Non-Stop (HBO), he really liked it as a mindless, fun action film with some good tension. Next, he watched Blankman (Prime), a silly black superhero comedy from the 90’s that he thought it still held up. Next, he watched Surrogates (Hulu), a sci fi film he thought had a great premise and some great ideas, but failed to be a good movie. Next, he watched Hercules (Prime), a dumb action film starring the Rock. He thought it was decent and it played on the ideas that myths are built from realities. Next, he watched Physical 100 (Netflix), a reality contest show based on physically demanding tasks. He thought it was poorly edited, and wished it was more about the contests themselves. Finally for Joe Bob Corner, Berto watched The Hills Have Eyes (Shudder), he thought the film was ok, but found nothing special about it.
In this week’s deep dive we watched the 2010 dark comedy Four Lions, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched School of Rock (Rent), which she found to be a fun, entertaining film. Next, she watched April Fools Day (Starz), an 80’s slasher film that is well known for its ending. She thought it was a fun slasher. Next, she watched Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Theatres), the latest marvel film. She enjoyed it despite the criticism the film has received. Finally, she watched The 2023 Oscar Nominated Animated Shorts (Theatres), she enjoyed a couple of them and found the others rather boring.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched The Woman King (Netflix), which he enjoyed, but also thought it had some things he felt were tacked on for no reason. Next, he watched Maid of Honor (Netflix), which was a crazy rom com that he enjoyed due to the sheer lack of awareness for how terrible of a person the protagonist is. Next, he watched Red Eye (HBO), which he thought was a good tense thriller, until it becomes an action film at the end. Next, he watched The Number 23 (Tubi), a thriller starring Jim Carey with an insane story that makes no sense. Next, he watched The Editor (Tubi), a comedy made in the style of a giallo film. Berto really liked it and felt that it was a comedy made specifically for him. Finally, he watched A Christmas Horror Story (Shudder), an anthology film with 4 stories. Berto liked two of them and didn’t like the other two.
In this week’s deep dive we watched the 1988 action film Police Story 2, currently streaming on HBO Max.

She felt it was an ok slasher with a disappointing theme/message.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Rocky Balboa (Paramount+), the 6th Rocky film. He enjoyed the idea and the chances the film was taking, but didn’t like parts of it. Next, he watched Murder on the Orient Express (Prime), a film based on the Agatha Christie book. He enjoyed it but thought it was a hard story to tell in film form. Next, he watched Shotgun Wedding (Prime), a Jennifer Lopez rom-com. He said the first half was rough to watch, but the second half got better and more enjoyable. Then he watched Iron Eagle (HBO), an 80’s film about a teenager who has to fly a fighter jet to save his father. He thought it was a silly, fun, low stakes film that was common in the 80’s. Finally, he watched Barbarians (Prime), a fantasy film made by Canon. He thought it was really bad and slow despite its silly nature.
Dragon at the Movies: This week’s deep dive is the 1989 dark comedy The War Of The Roses, currently streaming on HBO Max.
