Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Knock at the Cabin (Theatres), M Night Shyamalan’s latest film. She thought it was an average film, which is great for a Shyamalan film. She then watched Shallow Grave (HBO), an early Danny Boyle film which she enjoyed. Next, she watched Causeway (Apple TV+), which she thought was good for what it was trying to be. She watched Jack and Jill (Tubi), which wasn't great, but felt it was better than its reputation. Finally, she watched The Great Silence (Il Grande Silenzio) (Criterion/Redbox), and thought it was a great spaghetti western.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Eighth Grade (HBO), a film he thought was very well done and thought it was perfect at showing the early teenage years. Berto next watched Rocky 5 (Netflix), which he said felt way too rushed and just wasn’t a fun film. Next, Berto watched Rambo: First Blood Part 2 (HBO). He thought the first half was bad, but the second half was just as great as he remembered. Next, he watched Wild Mountain Thyme (Hulu), which was a very bizarre rom-com that had poorly shown themes, with a story that made no sense. Next, he watched Open House (Netflix), which he felt was a decent horror film with an infuriatingly bad ending. Then he watched Hellraiser: Hellworld (HBO), which was a surprisingly average horror film. Finally, he watched Hellraiser: Revelations (Tubi), which he found to be a very bad horror film and would recommend it to anyone.
Dragon at the Movies: In this week’s deep dive, we watched the 2015 action film Man From UNCLE, currently streaming on HBO Max.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Fire of Love (Disney+), she thought it was a cute, interesting documentary about volcanologists in love. She next watched Fleishman Is In Trouble (Hulu), she thought it was a good show about divorce and liked how her views on characters changed throughout the show. Next, she watched Shrill (Hulu), she thought it was a good, funny show. Finally, she started Poker Face (Peacock), Rian Johnson’s latest project. She likes it and is waiting to see the remaining episodes.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi (Disney+), which he found to be an insult to the entire brand of Star Wars, and he says that not even being a fan of Star Wars. Next, he watched Star Wars 9: The Rise Of The Sky Walker (Disney+), which he could see them trying to fix some problems from the previous film, but was ultimately really bad. Next, he watched The 355 (Prime), which was a female led action film. He thought it was very bad and boring and made absolutely no sense. Next, he watched Hellraiser: Inferno (HBO), which was more of a detective film, with a little Pinhead at the end. Then he watched Hellraiser: Hellseeker (HBO), which seemed like a murder mystery with some Pinhead at the end. Then he watched Hellraiser: Deader (HBO), which was a reporter investigating a murder cult, with some Pinhead at the end. Finally, Berto entered Joe Bob Corner, and he watched Don't Open Till Christmas (Shudder), which he hated and it felt like a movie without a script.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Severance (Apple TV). She liked the show and found the premise very interesting. Next, she watched The Whale (theatres), which she thought was hit or miss, but overall she thinks she liked it. Next, she watched Triangle of Sadness (theatres/rent), which she thought was a very funny dark comedy.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Rocky III (Netflix). He enjoyed it, but admits how it is very much a different type of movie than the previous two films. Next, Berto watched The Lost City (Prime), which he enjoyed but acknowledges how silly it is as a rom-com. Next, he watched Scare Package 2: Rad Chad's Revenge (Shudder). He enjoyed this film as it was a funny anthology about horror tropes, though he thinks the first film was much better. Next, he watched Open Marriage (Prime), a sexy thriller limited by the fact that it’s a lifetime movie. He thought it was really bad and made absolutely no sense. Next, Berto watched Homebound (Prime), a minimalist horror film that he found too drawn out and boring. Finally, for Joe Bob corner, Berto watched Tammy and The T-Rex (Shudder). He thought it was a geniusly silly comedy with a crazy premise.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched The Menu (HBO), both her and Berto thought it was a good film that becomes a clever horror movie. Next, she watched Earth II (Theatres?), a fan made movie using disaster films. She thought it was interesting and entertaining. Next, she watched Smile (Paramount), she thought it was a good horror film and enjoyed it. The Dragon watched M3gan (Theatres), and felt it was a decent movie, but is excited that horror films seem to be having a good resurgence. Next, she watched Aftersun (Rent). She was expecting not to like it as it seemed like a depressing drama, but she was surprised that she enjoyed the film. Finally she finished White Lotus (HBO), and enjoyed both seasons.
Berto on the Bed: Berto started this week by watching Rocky II (Netflix), he was surprised as he remembered this movie being sillier, but he really enjoyed it. Next, he watched Jurassic World Dominion (Prime), he thought it was absolutely terrible and declared it “everything wrong with modern Hollywood”. Next, he watched Marry Me (Prime), an awful Rom Com with no Com. He thought it was hampered with what he imagines is Jennifer Lopez’s “perfect” character. Finally, Berto goes to Joe Bob Corner. First he watched Angel (Shudder), which was a surprisingly good, enjoyable film, despite it being about a teenage prostitute. Then he watched Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 (Shudder), an insanely enjoyable bad horror film, filled with banter to mock.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Women Talking (Theatres), she enjoyed it, but thought the play style would make it hard for others to like. Next, she watched Emily the Criminal (Netflix), she thought it was ok, but very stressful. Next, she watched Hackers (Pluto), she thought it was silly, very 90’s, and very enjoyable. Finally, the Dragon watched Confess, Fletch (Paramount+), which she thought was a good, enjoyable film, and John Hamm is good as a the titular Fletch.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Rocky (Netflix), he speaks glowingly about the film and the genius way it handled its characters. Next, he watched The Pale Blue Eye (Netflix), which he thought was a good film that was very well acted. He watched The Invitation (Netflix), which he thought was a terribly slow movie that was pandering at what it was trying to say, and he hated it. Next, Berto watched Dracula Untold (Netflix), a bad, boring action movie about the origin of Dracula that he didn’t enjoy. Finally, he watched Never Back Down: Revolt (Netflix), the 4th in the film series. He thought it was really bad, with a bad premise and bad acting.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Babylon (Theaters), which she thought was far too long for the story it was trying to tell. Next, she watched White Lotus Ep1 (HBO), which she enjoyed and wants to continue watching.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched A Christmas Story (HBO), which he enjoyed and appreciated more now as a father. He next watched A Christmas Story Christmas (HBO), which he thought was a good sequel to the original and enjoyed it. Next he watched Black Adam (HBO), which he thought was awful, despite The Rock being good in it. He watched Christmas Bloody Christmas (Shudder), which he hated to the highest degree. Next, Berto did his segment Flix for Chix, where he watches Christmas romance films. He saw the following: Christmas Cupcake (Prime) - he found oddly funny; Joy of Christmas (Prime) - was very meh; Christmas Town (Prime) - he hated; A Bride For Christmas (Prime) - was bad; A Christmas in Vermont (prime) - was meh; A Lot Like Christmas (Prime) - was not good; Picture Perfect Royal Christmas (Prime) - not good. Next, Berto went to Joe Bob corner. He watched The Freakmaker (Shudder), which he found boring and stupid, and Head of The Family (Shudder), which Berto thought was a great, silly movie and found it to be hilarious. Finally, he watched Habit (Shudder), which he thought was a terribly boring low budget indie film.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Avatar: The Way of Water (Theatres), the latest James Cameron film. She thought it started boring, but picked up for the last hour. Next, she watched Wednesday (Netflix), the Netflix show about Wednesday Addams. She enjoyed the show, but not as much as she expected. The Dragon saw Christmas Bloody Christmas (Shudder), a Christmas slasher. She loved it and thought it was a fun, gory slasher. Finally, the Dragon watched The Long Kiss Goodnight (Showtime), a Shane Black action film. She thought it was a good, fun action movie.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched Wrath of Man (Prime), a Guy Richie action film. He loved it and felt it reminded him of older action films that didn't worry about morals. Next, he watched The Worlds End (HBO), the final of the Cornetto trilogy. He thought it was good, but was expecting it to be much better. Next he watched Another Earth (Hulu), a low budget sci fi drama. He thought it was meh and the Scifi felt thrown in for no reason. Next he watched Murderville: Who Killed Santa (Netflix), he loved it and found it absolutely hilarious. He then watched some Hallmark style Christmas movies. First was Angel Falls Christmas (Prime), which he thought was mostly boring, and then Holiday In Handcuffs (Prime), which he thought was absolutely insane in the best way possible. Finally, for Joe Bob corner, Berto watched The Stepfather (Shudder), which he thought was a good TV thriller, and he watched The Baby (Shudder), which was one of the most insane movies he's ever seen.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Barry Lyndon (HBO), Kubrick's period piece drama. She loved it despite its 3.5hr run time. Next, she watched Full Metal Jacket (Rent), Kubrick's Vietnam War drama. She also loved it and thought it really earned its praise. The Dragon watched Decision to Leave (Mubi/Theatres), Park Chan-Wook’s latest film. She thought it was brilliant and loved it. Finally, for Joe Bob corner, she watched Nightbreed (Shudder), which she felt was a fun, dumb movie and enjoyed it.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned (Netflix), the sequel to the 2013 action comedy. He thought it was an ok film, but wouldn’t recommend it. Next, Berto watched Europa Report (Hulu), a sci-fi film. He thought it was interesting for its small nature. In Joe Bob Corner, he watched Monster Club (Shudder), which he found to be rather boring. He also watched HellBender (Shudder), which he found interesting but still not good. Finally, Berto entered Christmas movie corner, he watched A Christmas Star (unavailable), which he found hilariously bad and cheap. He also watched Mistletoe Mixup (Prime), which was quirky and silly, but not good. Finally, he watched 12 Pups of Christmas (Tubi), which was one of the most insane films he’s ever seen.

Dragon on The Couch: The Dragon watched Star Wars: Project 4K77 (Internet), the original theatrical cut of Star Wars. She found the beginning to be slow, but then enjoyed it after. Next, she watched The Fabelmans (Theatre), she thought it was well done but too long and didn't capture her. Next, she watched the 90’s sexy thriller Fear (Rent), which she thought was an odd movie, but pretty good. Finally the Dragon watched A Clockwork Orange (HBO), she thought it was great and well deserving of its accolades.
Berto on the Bed: Berto watched the 2011 action film 3 Musketeers (Prime), he found it to be a fun, dumb action movie that he enjoyed. Next, he watched Bullet Train (Netflix), which he found to be very enjoyable and funny. He next watched A Classic Horror Story (Netflix), a new Italian horror film that he thought started well, but he didn’t like the twist. Next, he watched Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich (Netflix), he found the documentary mostly boring, it didn’t really teach him much. Next, Berto watched Christmas in the Rockies (Prime), which he thought was a crazy movie that was comically poorly made. He next watched Christmas With You (Netflix), he thought it was a cute, decent Christmas romance. Finally in Joe Bob corner, he watched Slaughterhouse (Shudder), which he thought was a boring slasher and Tenebrae (Shudder), which he thought was an average giallo film.
